Welcome to SkateNW.com!

The Pacific Northwest offers incredible and diverse skating opportunities. This site was created to be an informational hub to pull together all of the great resources that we have and to be a sounding board to help create new events and ideas.

Please take the time to explore the skating links. The websites were created by people who are passionate about skating and who are often instigators of local events. Keep in mind that this website is a work in progress. If there is something that you would like to see posted here, don't hesitate to contact us.

Donations needed!

Have you seen all of the great speed meet photographs taken by Mark Virtue?  Do you love that he provides them free of charge?  If so, it's time to give back.  Mark needs to buy a new server to store the new photos and could use some financial help.  You can donate and view photos here.

Spokane Centennial Trail Marathon and 10K

The Spokane Marathon has been cancelled this year due to construction on the trail.

Ever wish that you had an easier way to announce yourself on the trail while approaching or passing?

One of our skatenw members has a great deal for you.  Skater bells are on sale for $3.95 each.  These are the same bells that you can buy to put on bicycles, but are made to fit comfortably on your finger for skating.  These are a great way to improve safety while skating on public trails.  Visit http://skatersbell.com/ to purchase.  Best of all, shipping to US addresses is free!

Fast Girl Skates opens in Wallingford

If you are looking for quad boots, wheels or hardware, roller derby stuff, official Rat City merchandise, or some hip new practice clothes, this is the place to go.

Adventure Skate Team

A group of skate enthusiasts is going cross country next summer to look for some great downhill racing.  Check out their website http://www.adventuresk8team.com.

Check out the Road Rash Gallery!

Sorry, our Road Rash Gallery seems to have disappeared in the server move.  We will hopefully be able to recover all of your bumps, bruises, scrapes, burns, and blood soon!  Just remember that SkateNW.com recommends wearing all safety equipment while skating.

Weekly Roller Hockey

I represent a loose-knit group of roller-hockey enthusiasts (about
100 currently on our e-mail list). We play a weekly outdoor pick-up
game when the pavement is dry (and have been since at least 2000),
and think it would be a great service to the Seattle-area roller-
hockey crowd if we could get a link to our website from yours:

Thanks in advance for your consideration,
